Lesson 1 – Breathing Instructions

Practice the following breathing technique once a day or as often as needed. This helps you feel calm, relaxed, and focused on yourself.

Extended Exhale

Find a quiet place and a comfortable position. This could be in your bedroom, living room, or backyard. You can choose to sit or lie down. Make yourself comfortable. Once you get into your position, try to be as still and quiet as possible. Close your eyes and breathe as slowly as you can.

Please read the following breathing instructions while your child practices taking long and deep breaths. You may need to help the little ones with counting.
