What A Caterpillar Can Teach You About Growing Your Business

Parents:
Please read the following instructions to your child while he/she practices the resting pose.
Tip: It’s helpful to use a calm voice and slow pace

Instructions:

  • Find a comfortable spot
  • Lie on your tummy with head facing down (think the opposite of resting pose)
  • Gently rest your forehead on the floor/mat/carpet
  • Keep your body straight and tall.
  • Relax your arms and shoulders
  • Palms face up and next to your thighs
  • Take a deep breathe in, lift your head and shoulders at the same time
  • Exhale and say “I am a caterpillar.”

While you hold the caterpillar pose, practice the Extended Exhale technique from Lesson 1. Hold your pose for at least one breath before you release.
Parents: Please count with your child.

Practice this pose once a day or as many times as you wish.

Modification: Practice this pose without lifting your head or shoulders. Keep your forehead rested and relaxed. Breathe and count.

Challenge 1: Lift your legs at the same time you lift your head and shoulders.

Challenge 2: Try to hold your pose for as many breaths as you can
